The Hero in You

The hero stands for those who serve,
Protecting the weak with courage and nerve.
Through darkest nights, they carry the flame,
Standing for justice in God’s holy name.

They are mothers, fathers, teachers, and friends,
Firefighters and officers who defend.
Pastors who guide, and healers who care,
Emergency responders who answer the prayer.

They serve with honor, courage, and grace,
Bringing compassion to every place.
They are you, and they are me—
People who serve so others can be free.

He may be the surgeon who helped you heal,
The caring hands that made hope real.
Each one becomes a guiding light,
A hero who stands against the night.

God brings the sunrise, the moon lights the sky,
But His servants keep shining when darkness is nigh.
The hero is more than a man in sight—
He is one who leads us to Christ through the night.

So when that little child looks into your eyes,

Show him your strength from the heavens above the skies.
Let him see your courage, compassion, and light,
And teach him to stand for what is right.
